So I'm changing things up a bit. Mostly because I will be working far more often then I used to be. A bonus to that is I will have a lot more money! And more money equals less stress and more creativity!
Huzzah!
Unfortunately, that also means I won't be on as often, though I will be checking in to approve submissions and change out challenges. For now though, we will be running on seasons instead of months. Spring season will, of course, include (March) April and May. This being said you will see a new challenge category!
If you have any concerns or comments don't hesitate to contact me. I will always respond to notes.

Seasons Change Challenge

Spring Break!

Okay, so it's a bit cliche but I couldn't help it. With all of the driving I had to do this past weekend anything that has to do with traveling just seemed perfect for the first Seasonal theme. So, you've got Spring Break.
For this challenge you must design a 6 piece collection inspired by one of the following popular ports of call. Think of the culture, the atmosphere and the weather. Your collections MUST include at least one Casual, one Swim and one Evening look. The other three are at your discretion.

Spotlight Challenge

The Light & Dark Side of Fashion

For this challenge you are tasked with designing a mini collection (three designs) based on the Light OR Dark Side of the Force. Yes, this is a Star Wars challenge. Your designs can be any type of fashion - evening, swim, etc. - but you must have one design inspired by either the Millennium Falcon or a Tie Fighter... depending on which ever side you choose of course. The others can be based on light or dark or various characters on either side.

the Birds and the Bees

This is one of the few challenges where I'm going to request a male AND a female casual date wear look. The American Bumble Bee is an common image when one thinks of a bee, so that will be one inspiration. For the other design, you must choose from the list of common Spring time birds below.

April Showers...

So we've got the bees above and now for the flowers below. For this challenge you must use one of the choices below to design two looks – one Swim and the other Evening. I know, I'm just tossing in a bunch of mismatches but I like to change up my own settings from time to time and going from one end of fashion to the next for one challenge seems to fill that need.

Monthly Challenge

Now since we are going to be doing a big Seasonal challenge, I am going to lay out our monthly challenges each season and you will have plenty of time to work on them. Each challenge will be a mini collection of 3-5 looks based on the type and theme presented. You MUST put the MONTH in your design title and your inspiration in the description.

APRIL

I'm in a spring mood, what can I say? For April's challenge you must select 3 baby animals (all of your choosing) in all of their adorable fluffy cuteness to inspire your mini collection of... ah, heck, evening wear. Nothing like adorable to translate into high fashion. Don't forget to mention your inspirations in your description!

MAY

From one thought to the next, I give you classic cars for May. Not just any classics but the beauties and beasts of the 60's and 70's muscle car breed. Choose one or two of the following cars to influence your designs of Casual Date wear. Oh, and let's toss in a required Swimwear design too just for the fun of it!

Strange Holidays

Now there have been a few times that I've been asked just how to participate in this challenge, well, here's how: You may do one or all of the days but thy must be submitted individually. Also, you do not have to be literal in your design. You can base it on the history of the day, on what it means to you or you can literally create a design that looks like PB&J (this is just an example). You must, however, put what day you've chosen in your description.
